Competencies are an invaluable tool in the organisation, HR and trainers skillset. They can be used to recruit and select the best candidate for the job, help manage performance, identify potential gaps in skills, help with succession planning and discipline issues, and, as a result support the organisation in managing business risks and remaining competitive.
Describing and sharing with others the behaviour behind the job leads to better understanding and vastly improved job performance. The workshop explores how competencies can be used in a range of development activities as a way of helping participants understand how they ‘perform’ against a range of behaviours, often in difficult circumstances. Competency frameworks are sometimes misunderstood as being too complicated, yet in reality they provide a valuable framework for developing the performance of both individuals and organisations. This workshop will provide you with a forum to explore, share and solve competency issues so that you can better understand how to apply them effectively in your organisation.
By the end of the workshop, delegates will be able to:
"Peirce Parry Associates approached working with us in a business-focused, enthusiastic and structured way."
Peirce Parry's "Designing a Balanced Set of Measures" course enables managers to play an active role in delivering their strategy.
Upskilling the team is about providing a more stimulating working environment. People who are well trained are happier to go to work, more motivated, and have a better work ethic, all of which leads to a more profitable business, which enables more money to be invested back into staff development.
